By submitting a pre-booking, you acknowledge and agree to the process and conditions below.
1. Pre-booking
Pre-bookings open during the month before the planned workshop. At this stage, you're registering for the following month's Atelier, but the exact date has not yet been confirmed.
Payment is collected at the time of pre-booking. A pre-booking places you on the monthly participant list but does not guarantee that the workshop will take place.
2. Formation of the group
We collect pre-bookings until we reach 6 - 9 people.
Once enough participants have joined the waiting list, Oumi's Legacy confirms a single date and time for that month's Atelier and notifies everyone who has pre-booked.
The notification will include the confirmed date and time, location, response deadline, and any relevant practical information.
3. Confirm or decline
Once the date is announced, you'll be asked to choose one of two options:
- Confirm my attendance — your place for the session becomes secured.
- I can't attend — request a refund — your payment will be fully refunded.
Your place is only confirmed once you have explicitly accepted the announced date.
If you do not respond within 5 days, your place will automatically be released and your payment will be fully refunded.
4. If the Minimum Number of Participants Isn't Reached
If we do not receive enough pre-bookings to make that month's session viable, the Atelier will be cancelled.
In that case:
- everyone who pre-booked will be notified;
- the session will not take place; and
- all payments will be fully refunded.
No cancellation fee applies when Oumi's Legacy cancels the session.
3. Before the Session
Once you have confirmed your attendance, you'll receive the practical information needed for the session, including the exact time, location, access details, and any preparation instructions where applicable.
You are responsible for:
- checking the confirmed date, time, and location;
- providing accurate contact information when booking;
- reviewing any instructions sent before the session;
- informing us promptly if your circumstances change; and
- disclosing any relevant allergies, dietary restrictions, accessibility needs, or other practical requirements in advance.
We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate specific needs, but we cannot guarantee that every request can be fulfilled.
4. During the Session
Participants are expected to arrive on time so that the workshop can begin as scheduled.
During the Atelier, you agree to:
- behave respectfully toward Oumi, staff, and other participants;
- follow reasonable instructions relating to cooking, equipment, safety, and the venue;
- use tools, materials, and equipment responsibly; and
- respect the venue and any property made available during the workshop.
Oumi's Legacy reserves the right to refuse or discontinue the participation of anyone whose behaviour is unsafe, seriously disruptive, or inappropriate. In such circumstances, a refund may not be provided.
Participants remain responsible for their personal belongings throughout the session.
5. After the Session
You'll leave with hands-on knowledge of the dishes prepared during the workshop — and, in the spirit of a Moroccan table, likely a full stomach.
Where relevant, any care, storage, reheating, or handling instructions will be provided during or after the session.
We may also contact you afterward for feedback or to share information about future Oumi's Atelier sessions, subject to your communication preferences.
6. Participant Cancellation
Before the workshop date is announced
You may cancel your pre-booking before the workshop date is announced and receive a full refund.
After the workshop date is announced
If the announced date does not work for you, decline within the stated response period and your payment will be fully refunded.
If you do not respond by the response deadline, your place will automatically be released and your payment will be fully refunded.
After you confirm your attendance
Once you have explicitly confirmed that you can attend the announced date, your booking becomes final.
If you later decide that you cannot attend, a refund, transfer, or credit is not guaranteed unless otherwise stated by Oumi's Legacy or required by applicable law.
Please only confirm your attendance once you are reasonably certain that you are available.
7. Cancellation or Changes by Oumi's Legacy
Oumi's Legacy may cancel or modify a session where reasonably necessary, including in the event of:
- insufficient participant numbers;
- instructor illness or unavailability;
- venue issues;
- safety concerns; or
- circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
If Oumi's Legacy cancels a session, all affected participants will receive a full refund.
Where possible, we may also offer the option to transfer your booking to a future session.
If we need to change the confirmed date after you have already accepted it, we will notify you as soon as reasonably possible. If the new date does not work for you, you will be entitled to a full refund.
Oumi's Legacy is not responsible for additional costs incurred in connection with a cancellation or date change, such as transport, accommodation, childcare, or other personal expenses, except where required by applicable law.
8. Refunds
Approved refunds will be returned to the original payment method wherever possible.
Processing times may vary depending on the payment provider or financial institution. A refund is considered issued once Oumi's Legacy has submitted it to the relevant payment provider.
9. Minimum and Maximum Attendance
Minimum number of participants required to confirm a session: 6
Maximum number of participants per session: 9
Oumi's Atelier is intentionally kept small so that every participant can take part in the cooking experience.
Once the maximum capacity has been reached, additional interested participants may be placed on a waiting list. Being on the waiting list does not guarantee a place in that month's session.
10. Transfers and Replacement Participants
Confirmed bookings are not automatically transferable to another person.
If you would like someone else to take your place, please contact Oumi's Legacy before the session. Any transfer is subject to our approval, availability, and any practical requirements relating to the workshop.
11. Age Requirements
Minimum participant age: 16
Oumi's Atelier involves cooking equipment, heat, sharp tools, and other normal kitchen risks.
Where minors are permitted to participate, parents or guardians are responsible for confirming that the participant meets the applicable age requirements. Additional consent or supervision requirements may apply.
12. Health, Safety and Allergies
Oumi's Atelier involves food preparation, cooking equipment, sharp tools, heat, and ingredients that may contain or come into contact with allergens.
You are responsible for informing Oumi's Legacy in advance of any relevant:
- food allergies;
- dietary restrictions;
- sensitivities;
- health considerations; or
- accessibility requirements.
We take reasonable precautions but cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.
A dietary or allergy-related request should not be considered accepted unless Oumi's Legacy has explicitly confirmed that it can be accommodated.
Participants must follow all reasonable safety instructions provided during the workshop.
13. Photography and Content
Photography or filming may take place during Oumi's Atelier sessions for communication, archival, editorial, or promotional purposes, including Oumi's Diwan (Oumi's Legacy Journal) and social media channels.
Where your consent is required for identifiable promotional use, it will be requested separately.
You may participate in Oumi's Atelier without agreeing to the promotional use of your image.
14. Intellectual Property
Recipes, workshop materials, instructions, designs, documents, and other content shared as part of Oumi's Atelier remain the intellectual property of Oumi's Legacy or their respective rights holders unless otherwise stated.
They are provided for your personal use only and may not be reproduced, redistributed, commercially taught, published, sold, or otherwise commercially exploited without prior written permission.
15. Personal Data
Personal information collected in connection with Oumi's Atelier may be used to:
- manage pre-bookings and confirmed bookings;
- process payments and refunds;
- communicate session details;
- manage participant requirements;
- provide relevant customer support; and
- meet applicable legal or administrative obligations.
Personal data will be handled in accordance with Oumi's Legacy's Privacy Notice and applicable data protection requirements.
16. Force Majeure
Oumi's Legacy will not be responsible for failure or delay in performing its obligations where this results from circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
These circumstances may include severe weather, major transport disruption, emergencies, government restrictions, venue closures, natural events, or similar exceptional circumstances.
Where a session cannot take place, Oumi's Legacy will determine whether it can reasonably be rescheduled or whether affected participants should be refunded.
17. Acceptance of These Terms
By submitting a pre-booking or confirming your attendance for Oumi's Atelier, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Booking Instructions & Terms and Conditions.
The version applicable to your booking will be the version made available at the time your pre-booking is submitted.
Oumi's Legacy may update these terms for future sessions.
Booking Process at a Glance
- Pre-book and pay — your place is added to the monthly list.
- Minimum reached — Oumi's Legacy confirms and announces the session date.

- Decline the date — you receive a full refund.
- No response before the deadline — your place is released and you receive a full refund.
- Once attendance is confirmed — the booking becomes final and normal cancellation terms apply.
- If Oumi's Legacy changes the confirmed date — you may decline the new date and receive a full refund.
- If the minimum number is not reached — the session is cancelled and everyone is fully refunded.
